Bobby Darin’s Christmas album never once mentions
Santa. There are no silver jingling
bells. The songs are all about the
Christ of Christmas. But this is not a
stuffy, self-important album. With a few
more classical arrangements scattered through, the album is otherwise a
handclapping, singing-shouting gospel affair, praising and preaching the birth
of the Christ child with zest and power.
